WHS Induction: Machinery Safety

Injuries and fatalities stemming from machinery-related incidents in the workplace often result from factors like suboptimal design, inadequate maintenance, insufficient training, and improper usage. This Machinery Safety induction module will highlight some basic safety rules that will help your workers safe when working on or around machinery. Once the course is completed, you will have learnt the main mechanical hazards associated with machinery, the critical role of machine guards in safeguarding against these hazards, and effective risk control measures to ensure safe operation when working with machinery. This course is one part of a 50 part WHS Induction series aimed at new inductees and existing workers.
