WHS Induction: Knife Safety

Knives are useful tools for a wide range of jobs in the workplace, but they can also be dangerous if handled incorrectly. Remaining vigilant whilst using or working around knives, as well other risk management measures such as keeping the equipment properly maintained, will help ensure accidents and injuries are avoided. This Knife Safety induction module will highlight a few simple rules that can be followed when working with sharps.

Once the course is completed, you will have learnt the importance of keeping knives sharpened and safely stored, how to carry knives around safely, and what to do if you are interrupted whilst using a knife. This course is one part of a 50 part WHS Induction series aimed at new inductees and existing workers.
