WHS Induction: Hot Work

Hot work encompasses a range of tasks, including welding, thermal cutting, oxygen cutting or heating, grinding, and other activities that generate open flames, intense heat, or continuous sparks. Ensuring the safety of all personnel involved is paramount. This Hot Work induction module aims to educate workers on what they should consider when completing the a risk assessment prior to work commencing. Once the course is completed, you will have learnt the the precautions that must be observed before commencing hot work activities, how to perform a risk assessment to identify and manage potential hazards, and the various controls that should be put in place to mitigate risk. This course is one part of a 50 part WHS Induction series aimed at new inductees and existing workers.
