WHS Induction: Herbicides & Pesticides

Herbicides and pesticides are potent chemicals engineered to kill organisms, and as such, pose significant risks to human health. Therefore, it is imperative to handle them with the utmost caution within the workplace. This Herbicides and Pesticides induction module is designed to provide your employees with the essential knowledge and skills necessary to safely and confidently manage these chemicals. Once the course is completed, you will have learnt the primary routes of chemical entry into the body, the critical importance of regularly inspecting application equipment before use, the importance of PPE, and what you should do prior using ay herbicide or pesticide. This course is one part of a 50 part WHS Induction series aimed at new inductees and existing workers.
