WHS Induction: Fatigue

To achieve optimal recovery from daily stress and physical demands, it is advisable for adults to aim for approximately seven hours of sleep per night. Inadequate sleep can lead to reduced alertness, which in turn can have a detrimental impact on judgment, reaction time, skill levels, and overall safety.. This Fatigue course will highlight the causes of fatigue and offer practical steps that workers can take to proactively prevent it, thereby contributing to a healthier and safer workplace. Once the course is completed, you will have learnt the various factors that contribute to fatigue, enabling you to identify these factors and mitigate their impact. Moreover, you will learn to recognise the warning signs of fatigue and appreciate the significance of the body’s internal clock in managing and preventing fatigue-related issues. This course is one part of a 50 part WHS Induction series aimed at new inductees and existing workers.
