WHS Induction: Drugs and Alcohol

The usage of alcohol and drugs can pose significant safety and productivity risks in any workplace. In the interests of health and safety, it is a requirement that all staff come to work in a fit state. This Drugs and Alcohol course explores the risks associated with having a worker affected by alcohol and/or illicit or prescribed drugs in the workplace. Once the course is completed, you will have learnt the negative impacts of alcohol and drug abuse on workplace safety and productivity, the workplace policy on medication and other drugs and alcohol on site, and what to do if you suspect a workmate has an alcohol or drug problem at work. This course is one part of a 50 part WHS Induction series aimed at new inductees and existing workers.
