Whistleblowing

This course focuses on the False Claims Act, or FCA, which was amended in 1986 to encourage citizens to act as whistleblowers and expose cases of fraud. Looking specifically at the healthcare system, you’ll explore the number of ways that false claims are commonly made. you’ll learn about some of the factors that should be considered by potential whistleblowers, and gain a greater understanding of how the FCA incentivizes whistleblowers to challenge unethical practices and expose fraudsters, while protecting them from retaliation.
