Wage and Hour Basics (California – Manager)

This course is designed for California managers who supervise employees subject to the FLSA and California state minimum wage, overtime, and meal and rest break laws. In addition to learning the basic parameters of the laws governing the payment of minimum wages and overtime, managers will learn the essential “flash points” that lead to wage and hour lawsuits, including (but not limited to) scheduling, record keeping, supervision of break times, and the distinction between exempt and non-exempt status with respect to California overtime requirements.
