There are many illnesses that can affect the urinary system. Some of the most common ones include urinary tract infections, or UTIs, and kidney stones. Small kidney stones can be flushed through the urinary system by drinking plenty of fluids. Bigger stones that cause blockage in the kidney usually need lithotripsy or surgery.
