Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) for Managers

The Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) for Managers course explains the employment protections USERRA provides to service members in civilian jobs. Transitioning from a civilian job to active duty and back can be stressful for members of the armed services. In this course, we’ll review USERRA to help you understand employee rights and to protect you and your company from litigation should you not follow the Act’s guidelines. We’ll go over the protections USERRA provides and what is required of you, as an employer, when you have service members on your team. This course will also provide information on how to restore service members to their jobs, explain the “escalator principle,” offer guidance on training and job benefits, and outline who is covered by USERRA.
