Understanding the Needs of the Chronically Ill, Acutely Ill Patient

Patients seek hospital care when faced with acute or chronic health challenges that are unmanageable from their home environment. When admitted, patients have diverse physical, emotional, and educational needs. It’s important to create an environment to support those needs holistically and help them transition to their home, nursing home, or other setting. This course focuses on identifying and supporting the basic needs of hospitalized patients.¬†
