Unconscious Bias

Unconscious bias is the tendency to make quick judgments about people or situations based on stereotypes or assumptions without us even realising it. Whilst we all make them, these automatic associations can lead to assumptions that are not always accurate, and can have a detrimental impact in decision-making. This Unconscious Bias course aims to provide learners with an enhanced awareness of unconscious bias, by encouraging them to continually monitor their thoughts, actions, and interactions.Once the course is completed, you will have learnt the various common types of unconscious bias to be aware of, the downsides of unconscious bias, the importance of awareness, and steps you can take to manage it such as developing empathy and building diverse networks.
