The Triple Bottom Line in Sustainable Thinking

Sustainable companies measure success not just with one bottom line but with three – people, planet, and profit. These three bottom lines are different but connected and take full account of all the costs and opportunities involved in doing business. In this course, part of the Sustainability series, you will see real business activities and processes that contribute to each area of the triple bottom line (TBL or 3BL). To further illustrate the TBL framework, we examine how a packaging and distribution company implemented new practices to enhance the people, planet, and profit angle of their business.
