This course looks at the underlying psychology behind some common kinds of problem behaviour in the workplace, examines its impact and and provides an essential toolkit for dealing with it effectively. We’ve all come across the person who’s persistently negative, or who loses their temper at the slightest setback, or who plays ‘divide and rule’ and undermines their colleagues at every turn.
Difficult people can have a huge impact on the working environment. Negative behaviours create stress and conflict and affect our sense of well-being and morale. They can also be extremely costly for organisations, leading to declining productivity and performance, breakdowns in communication, low morale, absenteeism and a rise in complaints and grievances.
