Swapping Stress for Calm

Many of us face a lot of stress. We often have to deal with massive to-do lists and a constant barrage of information, while somehow managing to keep our bodies healthy and our minds clear. This audio-only course is led by Dr. Cortland Dahl, a research scientist, meditation teacher, and Chief Contemplative Officer at HMI who spent eight years translating Tibetan Buddhist texts before getting his Ph.D. in neuroscience. He’ll lead you through a guided meditation to increase awareness of your thoughts and generate a sense of calm. You’ll practice a three-step process of generating intentional thoughts, observing spontaneous thoughts, and resting in open awareness. After this course, you’ll be more prepared to combat feelings of stress and create a sense of calm from the inside out.
