Gender and sexuality are different, however they are commonly assumed to be the same thing. Our LGBTQ in the Workplace: 04. Gender Identity vs. Sexual Orientation course explains the differences to ensure your workplace is an inclusive space for all employees. In this course, we will talk about the various types of gender identities and how those are expressed. We will also discuss how people identify their sexual orientation and the terms associated with that. Finally, we will explain why using the correct terms is essential to creating a working environment that is respectful, safe and comfortable for everyone.
