Logistics could be the most important part of the supply chain as it is all about delivering against your customers’ expectations. In this course we discuss the definition of logistics, look at how it integrates with other areas of the supply chain, and discuss the seven rights of logistics: product, time, quantity, condition, place, customer and cost. We discuss sourcing, warehousing, transportation and order fulfillment, and cover the differences between inbound and outbound logistics and their roles in the overall picture. Finally, we’ll review how good logistics management can save money and keep customers happy.
