Supervision: Supervising a Narcissist

Have you ever worked with someone who had an inflated sense of self-importance? Someone who had a skewed sense of reality and ignored the needs of others, while serving only their own interests? This type of person is a narcissist, and supervising them can be challenging. In our Supervising a Narcissist course, we explore ways to effectively manage a narcissist. We discuss the traits that make these employees difficult to work with, but also cover the positive attributes they can bring to the workplace. We’ll examine Kurt Lewin’s Change Management Model as a tool for coaching narcissists to better handle criticism and discipline.
