Suicide Prevention for Officers

This course is designed to assist law enforcement officers and managers with understanding suicide prevention. Police officers are more likely to die by suicide than in the line of duty. In this course, officer Ryan Tillman, founder of Breaking Barriers United, will discuss the importance of suicide prevention efforts in police departments. You‚It’ll learn why police officers frequently struggle with suicidal thoughts and other mental health challenges. You‚It’ll also learn how to reconnect with the purpose behind your work and discover four strategies to use when you‚It’re stuck in a cycle of depression, anxiety, or trauma. After this course, you‚It’ll have tools to aid your own mental wellness and support other officers during difficult times.
