Regulation O: Insider Lending – Overview

This course provides an in-depth examination of Regulation O, a regulation that sets limitations on extending credit to senior associates, shareholders and subsidiary companies of a U.S. bank. The course provides an overview of Regulation O, why the regulations have been put into place, and penalties that can be incurred for violating these regulations. It identifies who is considered an insider and what rules apply based on the position or relationship of the individual to the bank.

The course also explores the requirements that relate to proper record keeping for loans made to bank insiders. The course features narrated videos, print screen capability, self-assessment quizzes, and a glossary of terms.
