Reducing the Cognitive Burden

In this ‘Reducing the Cognitive Burden’ micro-learning course, we focus on how understanding the way the brain processes information is key to understanding how to present data. This video-based learning will help you to reduce cognitive burden, tell stories through your data more effectively, and allow you to convey more information by showing less. It includes the four pre-attentive qualities of colour, shape, position and movement, and how they’re important, as well as showing ways to avoid long, hard exercises for your audiences’ working memories.
