Ransomware: Don’t Fall into the Trap

We live in a world which is increasingly connected and full of opportunities, but it is important to understand the risks concealed behind digital media. Awareness is the first line of defence. In this pill, you will learn about ransomware. The word ‘ransomware’ is a combination of the words ‘ransom’ and ‘software’, and refers to software designed to take a computer and the data on it hostage, and then demand payment of a ransom. During this course, you learn about how these attacks take place, how this practice has evolved over time, and some specific examples. Of course, you will also find out how to defend yourself! The guidelines you will encounter will help you protect your personal and company data, making your digital life, and more besides, much safer.
