Privacy (Australian Privacy Principles)

Privacy laws regulate the collection and handling of personal information through minimum privacy standards. They give us the ability to keep certain information about ourselves to ourselves and maintain some control over where and how our personal information is distributed. This Privacy course offers an introduction to the Australian Privacy Principles (APP) and the Privacy Act, and discusses the responsibilities of organisations who fall under this legislation. After completing this training program, you will have learnt the scope and significance of privacy laws, particularly the Australian Privacy Principles (APP), in protecting individuals’ personal information, practical strategies for implementing privacy measures, and the importance of transparency, accountability, and continuous review of privacy practices.
