Preparing for the Planning Process

Implementing any new process requires planning. Like any other business plan, succession planning requires taking a hard look at the business to identify its needs and opportunities. Devise parameters within legal and operational parameters. In this course you will be able to determine how to prepare for the planning process, apply the ways of gathering operational data, identify the responsibilities of a committee, and define how to set parameters for the planning process. Planning helps to critically assess the goal to see if it’s realistic. It facilitates decision making and allows setting a time frame by predicting when the company can achieve its goal. It also defines how to measure performance against the set goals and whose responsibility it will be.
