Planning for Maternity Leave: 01. The First Trimester

Planning for your new family involves more than choosing baby names. In this course, The First Trimester, we will review the plans you should make during your first trimester to prepare for maternity leave. We will discuss how to share your good news with your boss and coworkers, and look at special considerations you should keep in mind if you are in a labor intensive job. We will review the regulations that are in place to protect workers during and after pregnancy to help you understand your rights. We will also touch on topics such as your company’s maternity policy, extending maternity leave, planning your return to work, and establishing child care plans.
