Personal Protective Equipment – Respiratory Protection: Respirator Program

This course explores the critical aspects of permissible exposure levels, occupational diseases, and the essential role of respirators in ensuring workplace safety. Participants will gain insights into the hierarchy of controls, emphasizing the precedence of engineering controls and administrative measures over personal protective equipment (PPE). The curriculum covers the development and maintenance of a robust respirator program, including written procedures, program administrators’ roles, employee training, medical evaluations, and the importance of effectively storing, cleaning, and maintaining respirators.
