New Hire Orientation – General Industry: Machine Guarding

This course is designed to enhance participants’ understanding of machine safety by addressing both mechanical and non-mechanical hazards associated with machinery operation. Participants will delve into the two major hazardous actions of machines—point of operation and power transmission—and explore the significance of identifying moving parts. The course emphasizes the critical need for awareness and comprehensive training on machine operations, emphasizing early hazard identification, anticipating failures, and adopting preventative measures, including machine guards and personal protective equipment.
