Managers have a legal responsibility to create a safe working environment for all. This entails identifying possible workplace practices, actions or incidents which may cause, or contribute to, the psychological illness of workers. Actions must be taken to eliminate or minimise these risks.
This Mental Health and Wellbeing course, “A Few Facts and Figures,” highlights how is not necessary to become an expert in mental health but having a better understanding of what mental illness is and how it affects people will enable you to become more effective in handling any psychological problems that may arise.
Once the course is completed you will have learnt the workplace characteristics that can create or exacerbate psychological illness, and how to deal with the worker struggling with the main requirements of their work. This training course is one part of a 13 part series on mental health and wellbeing in the workplace. Eight of the modules are curated for the manager whilst five are for their employees. This particular course is ideal for managers and supervisors.
