Listening Skills

In this course, students will learn strategies to listen more effectively and respond in ways that demonstrate engagement. Students will learn ways to focus their attention on the person speaking, prioritize listening before responding, communicate their attentiveness in their responses, and show empathy to colleagues who express difficult feelings. Students will also learn how to ask questions that encourage thought and reflection without telling others what to do.
