Leaves and Accommodations (US)

This course provides an overview of the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and the Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA) in relation to work leaves and accommodations. It provides an introduction to both U.S. Acts and examines the organizations, institutions and agencies that the laws apply to. The course outlines eligibility requirements and entitlements, along with how these Acts interact with other laws. Topics also include discrimination and retaliation, requests for accommodation, confidentiality and privacy, return to work, and required documentation.

The course features narrated video with the ability for users to easily print screen for further reference. Case studies are explored to provide practical application of learning concepts, and lesson quizzes are included for self-assessment. A printed Certificate of Completion is available upon successful completion of the final online test.
