Leadership and Ethics: Confidentiality, Whistleblowing, Reporting, and Psychological Safety

Learn how to create a safe culture for reporting unethical behavior with Thirty Minute Mentors: Leadership and Ethics: Confidentiality, Whistleblowing, Reporting, and Psychological Safety. This course series features Lieutenant General Reynold Hoover, a retired three-star Army general who served as the deputy commander of the United States Northern Command (the command that serves as the primary defender against a potential invasion of the United States). General Hoover was also a senior intelligence service officer with the CIA, a Homeland Security Adviser to the White House, Chief of Staff of FEMA and an adviser to the director of the Defense Intelligence Agency. He also worked as a special agent with the ATF, was a lawyer in private practice and worked as an executive for a Fortune 500 Company.

General Hoover speaks with Adam Mendler to offer his best practices when it comes to reporting unethical behavior in the workplace. They also discuss how leaders and organizations can protect confidential information and how to develop a workplace culture where whistleblowers feel comfortable speaking out.
