Laboratory Safety Orientation for Supervisors: Chemical Hazards

Participants will delve into the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Laboratory Standard, exploring its key elements such as the Chemical Hygiene Plan, hazard identification, information and training, exposure monitoring, and medical consultations. Emphasis is placed on recognizing and mitigating potential risks through the proper use of Safety Data Sheets, the importance of a Chemical Hygiene Officer (CHO), and the significance of ongoing monitoring and oversight in maintaining a safe laboratory environment.
