jQuery and JavaScript Basics

This online course demonstrates how you can use JavaScript and jQuery to program eye-catching and engaging interactive elements for your websites. The course starts with the programming language JavaScript, giving you an introduction to its uses and syntax rules. It explains how to create variables, prompts and arrays, before demonstrating how to execute a variety of basic functions and create your own. The second part of the course explores jQuery, which is a library of pre-written JavaScript code that allows you to easily add impressive features to your websites without wasting energy typing out the JavaScript code yourself. It also touches on jQuery UI, which is a set of interactions for the user interface such as widgets and themes.
The course takes approximately 5 hours to complete. It consists of a series of short, narrated videos featuring screen recordings that walk you through each task step by step to facilitate learning.
