Jewish American Heritage Month (U.S.)

Since they first arrived in 1654 in New Amsterdam, Jewish Americans have made significant contributions to American history and culture. One specific time of the year to celebrate Jewish Americans is during Jewish American Heritage Month (JAHM). In this course, you’ll learn the significance and origins of JAHM. You’ll also be introduced to influential Jewish Americans who have made an impact on U.S. history. By the end of this course, you’ll be able to identify ways to participate in the celebration with respect.
