Introduction to Math: 08. Understanding the Metric System is an elearning course that shows you how to use and convert the metric system. In the United States, we typically use the English or Imperial system of measurement for everyday purposes, but in most other countries around the world, the metric system of measurement is the standard. Because of this, the metric system is being used more and more often here in the U.S., so it’s vital that you understand it and know how to use it.
