Introduction to Basic HTML and CSS for WordPress Users

This CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) course takes you through the basics of HTML and CSS, teaching you about simple changes that can be made to your website such as changing the size of your text or the background color.
The course begins with a brief overview of HTML, CSS, and web inspectors, and then delves into web page development and how to style content using HTML tags. You’ll learn how to create child themes from your parent theme and find out how they generally work on WordPress websites. As you advance, you’ll get to grips with the basic structure of CSS code and understand why CSS is such a powerful tool for designing websites. In addition to this, you’ll explore classes and IDs along with the crucial rules of CSS specificity. Armed with basic knowledge of HTML and CSS, you’ll learn to make design changes to a wide variety of WordPress themes. Finally, you’ll cover different types of CSS properties and the basics of CSS animations.
