Inspiring a Shared Vision

The key to true leadership is to inspire a shared vision among your followers. Before you can convey a vision, however, you have to develop it.
To successfully rouse a common vision and lead it to reality you want three things: Credibility, Shared Aspirations and Ownership. The pioneer should be solid. To be relied upon. Those being persuaded need to think that their yearnings will be met through seeking after this vision.
It helps them to focus their energies and engage in the transformation of practice. However, it is very important for leaders to monitor closely the energy level of teams and the organization, in order to maintain the balance between innovation/transformation and relaxation/recovery.
