Homeowner’s Protection Act

Our Homeowner’s Protection Act elearning course goes over the basics of the HPA, or PMI Cancellation Act, to boost your knowledge. Before this act was established, many homeowners continued to pay their private mortgage insurance (PMI) after their equity reached 20% and they were legally able to cancel it. In this course, we’ll review the HPA and explain who it covers. We’ll talk about the basics of PMI and how you go about cancelling it, so you can avoid making overpayments.

We’ll also go over exceptions to PMI cancellation, the disclosures that are required and the consequences of violating the HPA. Included in this course is a video presentation, downloadable supplementary material and a post-assessment test to review what you’ve learned.
