As Part Two in our Hiring for Small Businesses series, the Hiring for Small Businesses: 02. Conducting the Interview course shows you how to successfully screen candidates and conduct job interviews. To start, we’ll go over how to conduct a phone interview to screen potential candidates including questions to ask and what to look for. From there, we’ll talk about interview logistics and review how to pick an interviewer and how to pitch your company to candidates. We’ll also dig deeper into what questions you should ask to really get to know the candidates and their qualifications. We’ll also review how to check references, how to pick the best candidate and, if all goes well, how to make an offer. Included in this course is a video presentation, downloadable material for future reference and an online quiz to assess what you’ve learned.
