This course delves into the critical components of the Globally Harmonized System (GHS), with a primary focus on the Safety Data Sheet (SDS). Formerly known as Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), the SDS has undergone simplification under the GHS. The course comprehensively covers the 16 headings of an SDS, elucidating the essential information required for chemical identification, hazard communication, emergency response, and safe handling practices. Pictograms, which visually represent hazards, are also explored as key tools for quick identification of chemical risks.
