Hazard Communication for Employers: 02. Labeling Basics

Our Labeling Basics course outlines the regulations of OSHA standards. We’ll review the new label standards—who is responsible, and what is required on the labels. We’ll discuss each of the necessary items for proper labeling: Product Identifier, OSHA Sanctioned Pictogram, Signal Word Hazard Statement, Precautionary Statement, and Contact information. We’ll cover the usage of labels, how to ensure that they are clearly visible and compliant, as well as why storage containers must also be labeled.
