Hand Safety

This course helps workers recognize the importance of hand safety and outlines OSHA requirements for safe work practices and personal protective equipment (PPE) for your hands. First, we’ll review the particular hazards and injuries associated with hand use. If you’re a lefty, you’ll be particularly interested to know that left handers are way more likely to experience injury, so being aware of hazards along with protective measures is highly important. Next, we’ll review engineering and administrative controls, as well as PPE, that can help prevent injury to your hands. You’ll also learn the importance of keeping your mind and your eyes on the job at hand.
