Google Sheets 2019

Google sheets is the free spreadsheet equivalent to Microsoft Excel or other similar software. It is part of the G Suite of office software that is similar to Microsoft office. G Suite exists in the cloud, so all your documents are constantly being backed up, and more importantly, accessible from anyplace at anytime. One of the big features about having your documents exist in the cloud is that you can easily share your spreadsheet with other people, and in real time make changes collaboratively. In this series we will go over the basics of the software, including creating, saving, renaming, uploading, downloading, and printing a spreadsheet. We will see how to work with data and create calculations. We will then look all the fancy ways we can look at the spreadsheet, by freezing panels, hiding groups of cells, and merging cells. We will go in depth about formatting, so your spreadsheet is more appealing. Then you will learn about how to share your spreadsheet with other people, and how to set the permission level. We will see how collaborators can make comments, and how you can reply to them. Google Sheets is very good at keeping track of changes, including who made them. We will see how to go over changes, and then publish or email your spreadsheet. Lastly we will touch on the basic filters, functions, and formatting to make it easier to scrutinize your data.
