When you think of meditation, what comes to mind? Do you picture someone sitting cross-legged in a quiet place with their eyes closed? While that’s one way to meditate, there are actually many styles of meditation you can use to infuse a sense of calm and groundedness into your daily life. This audio-only course is led by Dr. Cortland Dahl, a research scientist, meditation teacher, and Chief Contemplative Officer at HMI who spent eight years translating Tibetan Buddhist texts before getting his Ph.D. in neuroscience. In this course, he’ll guide you through two meditation styles you can incorporate into your life: one seated, and one active. You’ll then identify times to add meditation exercises into your weekly routine. After this course, you’ll be able to practice mindfulness no matter where you are or what you’re doing.
