Fatigue and insufficient sleep can put health at risk in many ways. Not only can it impact on the immune system, it can cause a loss of alertness, which in turn will affect judgment, reactions, skill levels and safety. In fact, many safety incidents in the workplace are directly attributed to fatigue. This Fatigue Management course will examine the factors that cause fatigue and steps workers can take to help prevent it, contributing to a healthier and safer workplace. Once the course is completed, you will have learnt the warning signs of fatigue, the importance of the body clock, and the benefits of exercise, diet and sleep for managing fatigue. This course is one part of a 36 part Induction Series aimed at blue-collar workers.
