Excel for Accounting

Microsoft Excel seems complex and overwhelming, but most of what you need to know for accounting-related jobs is quite simple. In this course, former CFO and Rockstar Excel founder Steve Friedman uses his decades of Excel experience to show you easy ways to use the program to meet your accounting goals, save time, and make you look like a tech wizard. Steve starts by laying down the basic building blocks of Excel, giving you a solid foundation and comfort level. He then walks you through several straightforward tools to master Excel. These tools have complicated names but are made clear (think of nonsense terms like: XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and SUMIF). Steve guides you on best practices, troubleshooting, and the mental aspects of using Excel. At the end of this course, you’ll be able to create complex spreadsheets that can be used to automatically track expenses, income, inventory, employees, time, and other relative factors.
