Ergonomics For Laboratories: Laboratory Ergonomics

This course provides a comprehensive exploration of the challenges and solutions associated with working in a laboratory setting. Participants will gain insights into the ergonomic hazards such as prolonged standing, repetitive motions, awkward postures, vibration exposure, and contact with hazardous materials. The course emphasizes proactive measures, including administrative controls, engineering solutions, and the proper use of personal protective equipment, to mitigate these risks. Participants will also delve into the importance of workstation design, lighting modifications, equipment and tool design, proper posture and movement, job rotation, stretching exercises, and regular ergonomic assessments in creating a safer and more comfortable laboratory environment.
