Many of us feel like distractions during meditation are a sign of failure. But in reality, distraction is a natural part of the process. This audio-only course is led by Rev. Dr. Ronné Wingate Sims, an ordained Baptist minister, speaker, teacher, and activist who creates culturally relevant healing spaces for those working through intergenerational and ongoing trauma. In this guided meditation, you’ll intentionally move in and out of distraction, which will train your mind to notice distractions without judgment. As you drift in and out of distraction, you’ll also cultivate an awareness of what’s going on in your mind and body in each moment. After this course, you’ll have a new understanding of the role distractions play in your mindfulness practice.
