This course, Driving Safety: Substance Abuse – 03. Who Should I Test?, reviews the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (DOT) rules regarding when you’re required to send an employee for drug testing. We’ll cover the six types of mandatory drug tests in detail as well as the procedures to follow before and after the testing occurs. While initiating drug testing with your staff can be an awkward and uncomfortable process, educating yourself on the DOT’s rules and regulations will make it easier for you to convey to workers that you are just doing your job.
