Disciplining Employees

A discipline is a behavior, action or system of rules that has for its object the mastery of self and others. The purpose of a disciplining agent is to teach this individual specific behaviors that reflect an interest in personal power and social order. Discipline can be applied as punishment, such as through suspension from school, increased work hours with no pay increase; it can also be used positively towards teaching new skills or competencies while increasing understanding about one’s own humanity. Either way, positive feedback will always follow these efforts since they result in more effective ways at achieving goals set out by individuals themselves.
